ReFocus - training mental health professionals to become more recovery orientated
-
The five-year ReFocus recovery training research project, led by Dr Mike Slade, has produced a training manual to teach mental health professionals how best to support a service user in their recovery. This training is scheduled to be researched as a multi-site trial in the UK this year. Dr Heather Straughan has inputted into this training manual as part of the Lived Experience Advisory Panel working on the project. The research is funded by the National Institute for Health Research, Research for Patient Benefit stream.
