New Recovery In-Sight Course - starting Wednesday 26th May
-
A new Recovery In-Sight course starts on May 26th and runs until July 14th.
It takes place on Wednesdays, 10am - 5pm (with morning, afternoon and lunch breaks)
It is held in our training room at our offices: Maclaurin Building, 4 Bishop Square, Business Park, Hatfield, AL10 9NE and welcomes people affected by mental health problems living in Hertfordshire, whether service users or carers.
There is a requirement to attend two focus group meetings - one held when the course starts (on Wednesday 26th May, 5.30pm) and one held after the training is finished (on Wednesday 14th July, 5.30pm). There is also a requirement to complete questionnaires. This is to look at any changes that trainees might have experienced due to following the training.
All materials and morning/afternoon refreshments are provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch.
Trainers are City & Guilds qualified and have also been affected by mental health problems themselves.
The course is written by Dr Straughan, a service-user, and will teach you about recognising and managing your moods, developing a healthy lifestyle and life skills, and planning for your well-being.
The course is accredited with Middlesex University (Level 3, 20 points) and if you wish, you can work towards gaining these credits which can be put towards a qualification. No charge is made for this opportunity.
* If you want to know more about the course, look at the section on ‘Training’ where you will find details of the course contents.
* If you want to know what other people thought about the course, look at the section on ‘Clients’ as people have given their own testimonies after completing the training.
* The section on ‘Publications” will show you papers that have been published on the Recovery In-Sight course.
Places are limited to 12 people on a first-come first-served basis.
