We are delighted to announce that we are holding an Auction of Promises at the Old Free School in Watford - where the social enterprise has been based since September 2010 - and would like to invite members to attend and lend their support by making bids and raising funds for the social enterprise to continue its training and self-help activities at what promises to be a fun occasion.

It will be held on Thursday 7th July and over 35 lots, drawn from over 50 gifts from companies and shops and local supporters are to be auctioned. Promises range from dining out, to experiences such as skiing, gliding and golf, football matches and rugby matches, a foreign holiday, theatre and panto trips and personal guided tours, poney rides, signed books by sportspeople, pampering activities such as pedicures, manicures, beach experiences, beauty make-overs, hairstyling and photography portraits, shopping vouchers, financial advice, gym memberships, iPods and memory sticks, as well as many many other items.

The Auction of Promises is to be inaugurated by the Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill. A buffet will be provided courtesy of many donations from local shops and supermarkets, and it will be the chance for members to meet supporters of the social enterprise, see where your social enterprise is based - and naturally make bids for the items!
