    Reader in Health Services Research (since 9/07). Head of Section for Recovery (since 4/09). Research programme includes recovery, outcome measures, evidence, alternatives to in-patient services. Previously Head of Section of Community Mental Health (multidisciplinary team of 38 researchers, 2004-2009), clinical senior lecturer (2002-2007), MRC Clinician Scientist Fellow (2000-2005), lecturer (1997-2002), honorary lecturer (1994-1997), researcher (1993-1994).

    Active research collaborations in Australia, Germany, Italy, United States. Co-organised conferences, e.g. ENMESH 2004 (280 participants from 35 countries). MSc module co-ordination. Development and dissemination of widely used outcome measures, e.g. Camberwell Assessment of Need (translated into 19 languages), Threshold Assessment Grid (recommended in UK policy). PhD supervisor and doctoral thesis examiner. Reviewer for 19 journals and 9 grant funders. 45 invited conference presentations.
